Walthers 18000 HO Union Pacific Katy Flyer 85' ACF 44-Seat Coach Stand Description

This is a WalthersProto 920-18000 HO Scale 85' ACF 44-Seat Coach - Standard - UP Heritage Series Union Pacific (R) Katy Flyer. A key part of Union Pacific's public relations programs, 48 historic passenger cars and three E9 diesels make up part of the famed Heritage Fleet. Many were originally purchased for the City Streamliners, and have been carefully restored and updated to full operating condition. Today, they're finished in a modern Armour Yellow scheme, and the cars carry names of important cities, famous trains and key people in the railroad's long history. In service, these rolling goodwill ambassadors travel system-wide and beyond, behind UP's restored steam and diesel locos, to attend a wide range of public and special events every year. * Perfect For Fan Trip & Excursion Service * Modern-Era UP Excursion Scheme * Available with Factory-Installed LED Lighting * Factory-Printed Car Names & Numbers * Factory-Installed Grab Irons * Prototypically Accurate Window Tinting * Proto MAX (TM) Metal Knuckle Couplers.PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24 radius is recommended for operation. Built as a coach in 1954 by American Car and Foundry, the Katy Flyer provides seating for 44 passengers. The Missouri-Kansas-Texas joined the UP family in 1982, and this car was renamed in 1993 for a train that ran from St. Louis to Galveston, Texas, for 65 years. The Katy nickname came from the KT in the road's MKT reporting mark.Condition: Factory New ( C-9) Oper
